Have you ever invited people to your home, and immediately began to notice maintenance issues that need to be resolved or slight imperfections that need to be touched up?
When you go to your friend’s homes, does everything look to be in its place?
Being realistic, you know their homes have similar issues, but since you are not there every day and don’t own their home, you don’t notice them.
The same happens in businesses. Companies are walking disasters.
If you own a business and feel it is imperfect, GET USED TO THE FEELING.
When it is your company you will notice every detail, every mistake, and every area to improve. When you go into someone else’s business, not so much. Those same issues exist, trust me. You do not notice them for the same reasons as above.
Get used to the imperfections. That does not mean you need to accept them. Strive to fix them all, but grow to be ok with there always being a few to resolve and as a fellow business owner welcome to the continual roller coaster of emotions between having it all figured out and nothing going right.
